I want to do graffiti legally but NOT ON CANVAS OR PAPER. I tried to do it on plywood on the side of my house but it didn't work. Any advice helps!!! :-)
Look around for community art groups, and see if there's a community building that could do with a make over.
You'll probably need to do some fundraising too, so you can do sponsored workshops where you do a small design on card.
It promotes your style, allows people to get to know you and helps train up willing volunteers for larger projects.
You could also approach businessess and ask them if they'd like there drop down shutters done to promote their business. Smaller family run places are more likely to say yes than chains.
If you can combine both you might gain additional funding and support to be let lose in public spaces.

What does "didn't work" actually mean? The plywood warped? The paint fell off? You got cited for making a mess?
It is very hard to offer solutions when you keep your details to yourself.

Good luck with it.
If you can get permission to paint on a wall then you can. Find a spot that has lousy graffiti on it. Then offer to make it look
